A set made once, for one person
A name cut into the bead or the plaque. A short line on a card, written by hand. A starting scent chosen from the season of a birthday. It is one set, made once, and it is not on a shelf.
How it works
- You write to us with the date, the name, and roughly what the person is like. Use the contact page — this is a conversation, not a checkout.
- We reply within one working day with what we can actually do: which piece takes the engraving, how many characters fit, which starting scent the season points to, and a real delivery window.
- You approve a proof. We send an image of the engraving layout before anything is cut. Nothing is cut without your yes.
- We make it. Engraving and assembly take 15 days from approval.
- It ships. You get a tracking number, and the card is photographed before the box is closed, so you know what went in it.
Timing — please read this before writing
Fifteen days is the making time, not the delivery time. To the United States, post takes another 10–15 days. That means we need at least 30 days between your message and the date you need it. If the birthday is sooner than that, we will tell you honestly and suggest a set from the shop instead — a late gift with a name on it is worse than an on-time one without.
We do not offer an express option. We would rather say no than take money for a date we cannot hold.
What can be engraved
- A name or initials, up to 12 characters.
- One short line of your own, up to 30 characters — or one of twelve lines we have written and can show you.
- Latin letters and numerals only, for now. We will show you the proof before it is cut.
- Position depends on the piece: bead, clasp or plaque. We will tell you which, before you pay.
What the birthday decides — and what it does not
The season of a birthday picks a starting scent the same way a season picks a colour: spring toward the lighter green and floral blends, summer toward the resinous ones, autumn toward the sweeter woods, winter toward the drier smoke. That is all it does. It is not a reading, a chart, or a prediction of anything about the person. We are choosing a place to start, the way you would choose a first record for someone.
What this is not
This is a fragrance and a craft object. It is not a medicine, not a sleep aid, not a detox product, and not a fortune charm. The patterns are traditional motifs we chose for their beauty and their story — we make no claim about outcomes.
What it costs
The engraving is charged on top of the set, and the set itself is quoted at the time we talk — it depends on which pieces you choose and where the engraving lands.
- A single engraved piece: from $18.
- The full set with a name, a card and a printed sleeve: from $24.
- The full set with a scent chosen from the birthday: from $38, and it includes a card explaining the choice and its source.
We will give you one total, with shipping in it, before anything is cut. These engraving figures are still the numbers we are testing against our own cost of the work — if they move, they move before your order, not after.
Returns
A personalised set cannot be resold, so it is not returnable. If we cut it wrong, or it arrives damaged, we remake it at our cost — send a photograph within 24 hours of delivery and we will start again.
